Chief Accountant/Office Manager
This position manages all administrative and accounting functions for Company. Responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day accounting operation including hands-on involvement where necessary. Directly responsible for G/L and all ancillary transactions thereof, executive payroll, monthly % completion and job costing, bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
This position will direct, develop, maintain and execute all fiscal policies, accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
Must provide leadership and direction to convert company's accounting software from Maxwell to Cheetah Street Smarts. Responsible for managing two administrative staff and creating and implementing methodologies for consistency and uniformity for all administrative functions. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels in Company and specifically, work closely with Project Managers to insure smooth and seamless transition of all project data into the accounting system including estimating, billing, change orders, budgeting, costing and forecasting for various jobs.
Responsible for all IT functions working with outside vendors and suppliers. Purchase and administer all commercial and health insurances, 401k, etc. This position reports directly to Company owners and is considered part of the executive team. We are seeking candidates with: experience in a construction company or a company utilizing cost accounting; a strong background in management of the accounting cycle, financial analysis, and administrative systems, strong proficiency in MS Excel and Office products. Maxwell and/or Cheetah experience a plus. CPA or MBA a plus. Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills are required. Salary commensurate with experience, full benefits package.
